NeuroActiv6 Review

Do you often feel tired throughout the day?  Are you looking for something that can give you a boost? This NeuroActiv6 review might be just what you’re looking for!

There are a lot of nootropic supplements out there competing for your hard earned dollars.  The vast majority are a waste of your time.

So without further ado, let’s take a closer look, shall we?

What is NeuroActiv6?

NeuroActiv6 is a drink powder designed to provide health benefits for your body and mind.

It contains ingredients that protect you from free radical damage, improve vitality, and enhance mental clarity.

A short list of individuals that can benefit from NeuroActiv6 is as follows:

  • Seniors
  • Tired Moms
  • Athletes
  • Working Professionals
  • Students
  • Gamers

It goes without saying that anybody experiencing ‘Brain Fog’ in the morning, or needing more energy throughout the day can also benefit from NeuroActiv6.

The company that makes NeuroActiv6 is NaturalCell.

In their view, the key to improving cognitive function is Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor(BDNF).

Why is Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor(BDNF) Important?

I have spoken about BDNF in several of my other articles, and I do think it’s important to brain health.

However, I don’t think that BDNF alone is the only concern to take into account when elevating human intelligence.

Yes, BDNF encourages the growth of new brain cells and improves receptor site activity, but there are other considerations at play.

That being said, boosting levels of BDNF in the brain does provide a lot of benefits.  This is a short list:

The makers of NeuroActiv6 use Whole Coffee Fruit Extract in their formulation to encourage BDNF production in the brain.

They compare it to a fertilizer for plant growth, only it’s meant to encourage new brain cell growth.

Brain Inflammation – Not your Friend

The folks at NaturalCell have also found that brain inflammation is a major contributor to mental decline as we age.

They go further to say that exercising regularly will raise your BDNF levels naturally, and that studies have shown brain inflammation is reduced when BDNF levels rise.

In other words, they have found that a rise in BDNF levels correlates to a reduction in brain inflammation, supporting their findings that BDNF levels are the key to improving mental performance.

The fact that NeuroActiv6 is a natural food product also lends itself well to providing compounds that provide users with protection from a number of chronic ailments.

NeuroActiv6 – A Polyphenol Powerhouse!

Polyphenols are common in fruit, vegetables, nuts, chocolate, coffee, and tea.

NeuroActiv6 is absolutely loaded with red fruit polyphenols.

Polyphenols are ‘super-food compounds’ usually found in plants, and they have an incredible number of benefits.

Polyphenols encourage ‘Hormesis’; they put a mild stress on the body that encourages it to adapt, kind of like exercise.

A brief list of ways Polyphenols improve human health are as follows:

  • Antioxidant properties
  • Enhance Cognitive Function
  • Regulate Blood Sugar
  • Aid in Digestion
  • Prevent Heart Disease, Blood Clots, and Cancer

The 2 major sources of Polyphenols in NeuroActiv6 are coffee fruit and red fruit extracts, which gives it a bright red color.

Technically, polyphenols are not nootropics, but they have been shown to improve cognitive function by protecting the brain from free radical damage.

NeuroActiv6 Provides Stress Protection

NeuroActiv6 also has ashwagandha in its’ formulation to regulate stress hormones like cortisol.

Ashwagandha relaxes users without causing drowsiness, and improves neuroplasticity by allowing brain tissues to heal.

It also stops the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine from working, thereby improving brain function.

NeuroActiv6 has Choline for Cognition

NeuroActiv6 does have one artificially produced nootropic included in its’ ingredient list, and it is CDP Choline.

It’s a good choice, because CDP choline provides 2 nutrients to the brain once it crosses the blood-brain barrier.NeuroActiv6-Review - Illustration of CDP CholineCDP Choline provides choline, which is a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.

It also provides cytidine, which is then converted to uridine, which the brain can use to rebuild receptor sites.

Ashwagandha also blocks the effects of the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine, helping to optimize its’ effects.

What else should we know about the ingredients in NeuroActiv6?

The other ingredients in NeuroActiv6 worthy of mention are turmeric, the B Vitamins, and Grape Seed Extract.

Turmeric has been shown to increase levels of BDNF as well as encourage increased production of dopamine and serotonin in the brain.

It’s also a very effective antioxidant, offering protection from free radicals, thereby reducing inflammation of brain tissue.

B Vitamins act as catalysts in several key reactions necessary for glucose metabolism in the body.  B Vitamins also facilitate the repair of nerve tissues throughout the body.  B12 in particular assists in the regrowth of myelin.

Grape Seed Extract is also included in NeuroActiv6 for its’ high concentration of polyphenols.

NaturalCell complies with the ‘Current Good Manufacturing Practices’ (cGMP) required by the FDA.

The ingredients are randomly tested by a neutral third party during production, and before final packaging for safety, purity, and effectiveness.

So now that we know NeuroActiv6 is a high quality product, does it qualify as a nootropic supplement?

How much does it improve cognition?

NeuroActiv6 for Brain Fog – Does it Work?

The vast majority of nootropic supplements on the market try to have about 10 constituents in them for maximum performance.

NeuroActiv6 may have less individual nootropics in its’ list of ingredients, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less effective.

Performance Lab Mind only has 4 ingredients, and tons of neuro-hackers use it for custom stacking, or on its’ own.

If the ingredients are strategically chosen to support one another, 4 nootropics can be just as good as 10.

Granted, NeuroActiv6 has a different delivery method, and it emphasizes BDNF over all other considerations, but it’s still a good supplement.

I don’t agree with the idea that BDNF levels are the lynch pin factor to brain health, but I respect the fact that NeuroActiv6 is a very high quality product.

I’ve tried it, and I did find that my energy levels jumped up.  I felt sharper mentally, with a great deal of clarity.

I was able to make decisions more easily, and felt a lot more motivated to get things done.

NeuroActiv6 Review – Final Analysis

I think NeuroActiv6 is a really good product.  It doesn’t taste like a bag of dust like some drink powders I’ve tried, and I found it effective.

That being said, I’m going to be sticking with Mind Lab Pro for my ADD.  It’s the best nootropic supplement on the market for my purposes.

So the question then becomes, what’s a good supplement for energy?

I think if you’re looking for something to eliminate brain fog that can put more ‘pep in your step’, NeuroActiv6 can work for you.

I wouldn’t let the fact that NeuroActiv6 has less nootropic compounds in it diminish your opinion of the product.

However, I do think NeuroActiv6 is for people that want to improve their overall health, energy level, and mental capacities all at the same time.

Long story short, NeuroActiv6 is a good option for:

  • Seniors
  • Tired Moms
  • Athletes
  • Working Professionals
  • Students
  • Gamers

The convenience factor with this product is also pretty high, and I think it’s good to keep that in mind.

NeuroActiv6-Review - Water Pouring onto a Lightbulb

All things considered, I’d give NeuroActiv6 a 4 star rating out of 5.

It’s good, but not fantastic.

I wouldn’t count on NeuroActiv6 to help prevent major neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s or anything, but it’s a decent energy booster for casual neuro-hackers.

Anyways, that’s my 2 cents.

In my next article, I’ll be taking a look at how caffeine affects us mentally and emotionally.

You’d be surprised to find out about some of the benefits!  There’s more to caffeine than you might think!

See you there!

    • Hi Carrie,

      I completely agree!

It’s very easy to get lost in all the noise. I was looking at some other products today to see if any of them looked promising for my readers. I looked at about 8 product lines, and they just didn’t have the right mix of ingredients for me to feel comfortable recommending them. They just weren’t good enough.

What are you hoping to accomplish by supplementing with nootropics, if you don’t mind my asking?

      Michael
