What is the best supplement for brain support?
Opinions may vary, but if you ask me, it’s definitely Mind Lab Pro.
Mind Lab Pro is the most well-rounded nootropic supplement to date. It’s designed to be clean, safe, and effective.
In the short term, it improves memory, focus, energy, motivation, and mood.
In the long term, it supports faster learning, better mental clarity, enhanced creativity, and faster decision making.
In this review, I’m going to do a complete analysis of each ingredient in Mind Lab Pro, and then evaluate the dosages for effectiveness.
So without further ado, let’s take a look, shall we?
Mind Lab Pro Ingredients – How good are they?
Opti-Nutra, the company that makes Mind Lab Pro, has all of their ingredients tested for purity, safety, and effectiveness by a neutral 3rd party.
This ensures compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP), which is the golden standard for supplements in North America.
And in case you’re wondering, this is what’s on the label:
If you are new to nootropics, some of these ingredients might sound like artificial chemicals. However, all of these compounds are naturally present in the human body.
These substances, also known as nutraceuticals, can either be synthesized artificially or extracted from natural sources.
The best way I can explain it is to compare nootropic supplements to traditional multi-vitamins.
Take Vitamin C for example; we can either extract it from a food source, like oranges, or synthesize it in a lab.
Do you think your body can tell the difference?
One could argue that there’s more risk of chemical contamination with artificially made substances.
The counterargument is that naturally sourced ingredients are more likely to have bacteria, insects, or heavy metals in them.
In the end, the purity and effectiveness of the nutrients in a supplement are determined by how carefully they are handled. Not by how they are sourced.
You should know that Opti-Nutra uses standardized extraction processes whenever possible. These strict protocols help to ensure that the amount of active constituents are consistent.
This means that only the highest quality ingredients go into Mind Lab Pro.
No fillers allowed!
Mind Lab Pro Strategy – The ‘Limitless Mind’ Blueprint
The purpose of creating Mind Lab Pro has always been closely tied to one basic concept; unlocking the unlimited potential of the human mind.
There are other nootropic stacks on the market designed to address different pain points, like performing better at work, or improving memory.
An example would be Alpha Brain, which is intended to improve focus and multitasking ability. A lot of people use it to gain a competitive edge.
Some supplement makers claim to be offering ‘all natural’ products by only using herbal nootropics.
Other producers do the opposite by using whatever synthetics they believe provide the most ‘bang for your buck’.
Opti-Nutra calls these other nootropic formulas, “self limiting”. Ouch!
Mind Lab Pro has always been intended to provide a full spectrum nootropic stack that can enhance all aspects of human cognition.
Pretty tall order, right?
Opti-Nutra didn’t stop there, though. They also wanted to create a supplement that is:
- Stimulant Free
- Capable of Providing: Short Term Benefits
- Capable of Improving: Long Term Brain Health
- Safe for everyone to use
These are some very ambitious goals, and in order to achieve them, Opti-Nutra paid special attention to the synergy amongst all the constituents.
On their website, they use this diagram to show how the ingredients have been chosen to support one another:
As you can see, it flows from the top to the bottom, in this order:
- Ingredients
- Optimization Pathways
- Areas of Improvement
Every compound has specific advantages of its’ own, but can also enhance the effects of the others.
This makes the formula diverse enough to address all the various aspects of cognitive improvement; by creating an integrated matrix.
Each individual nootropic is also known to be very effective based on clinical research, even when used in smaller dosages.
In theory, these characteristics should allow Mind Lab Pro to perform it’s function as a ‘Universal Nootropic’ without any need to choke down giant pills 3 times a day.
So at first glance, it looks like the formula for Mind Lab Pro can deliver on all of it’s promises.
But can it really? Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
The Best Supplement for Brain Support? – What’s the ‘Secret Sauce’?
I prefer to go over the ingredients and their dosages in the same order as on the Mind Lab Pro website, so this is the sequence we’re going to follow:
- CDP Choline/Citicoline (Cognizin) – 250 mg
- Phosphatidylserine/PS (Sharp PS Green) – 100 mg
- Bacopa Monnieri/BM (Extract) – 150 mg
- Lion’s Mane Mushroom (Organic) – 500 mg
- Maritime Pine Bark Extract – 75 mg
- L-Tyrosine (as NALT) – 175 mg
- L-Theanine (Suntheanine) – 100 mg
- Rhodiola Rosea – 50 mg
- Vitamin B6 (Pyroxidine) – 2.5 mg
- Vitamin B9 (Folate) – 100 mcg
- Vitamin B12 (Cobalmin) – 7.5 mcg
The items in bold are the various names for the ingredients, and the italicized titles are either trademarked, or a specific form of the ingredients.
The dosages mentioned above are for 2 capsules a day. Mind Lab Pro can be taken with 2-4 capsules a day depending on your individual needs.
Now that I’ve cleared that up, let’s go through these items one at a time, shall we?
CDP Choline/Citicholine (as Cognizin)
Choline is available in several different forms, but Opti-Nutra uses a patented product called ‘Cognizin’ in Mind Lab Pro.
Opti-Nutra chose to use Cognizin because it is the most easily absorbed type of choline. In short, it can provide the most benefit without adding too much bulk.
Choline improves cognitive function by optimizing the following pathways:
- Neurogeneration
- Brain Chemicals
- Energy
Choline is used by the body to construct cell membranes, including nerve tissue and brain cells.
It also increases the density of neurotransmitter receptors at the synapses.
This means that choline is needed for brain cell regeneration, and contributes to accelerated neural activity.
A general sense of well being is also a benefit of choline supplementation.
When more choline is provided to the brain, higher levels of acetylcholine result.
Acetylcholine was the first neurotransmitter ever discovered, so naturally, it enhances many different aspects of cognition.
Choline is such an essential nutrient for brain health that most nootropic stacks include it in their formulations.
Basically, choline improves:
- Memory
- Focus
- Learning Ability
- Mental Flexibility
- Attention
- Mental Energy
- Mood
The ideal dosage for choline, when taken as CDP choline, is 250-500 mg/day.
If you took 2 capsules a day, you would be taking 250 mg. If you raised your intake to 4 capsules a day, you would be getting 500 mg/day.
The dosage recommendations from Opti-Nutra are perfectly in line with the general guidelines.
Phosphatidylserine/PS (as Sharp PS Green)
Phosphatidylserine, or PS for short, is included in Mind Lab Pro as ‘Sharp PS Green’. PS Green is a patented product made from sunflower lecithin.
PS is a phospholipid, or oil, that accounts for about 15% of brain cell membranes. It’s a structural support ingredient much like choline, but it has some distinct properties of its’ own.
The optimization pathways that PS can improve are:
- Neurogeneration
- Neuroplasticity
- Neuroprotection
PS encourages the production of ‘Nerve Growth Factor’ (NGF) in the brain, which accelerates the rate of brain cell reproduction.
It also increases receptor density at the synapses.
PS supplementation has also been shown to improve energy levels by facilitating the reproduction of mitochondria, and speeding up their metabolism.
As a result, one of the biggest advantages of extra PS in the diet is more mental energy, and physical endurance.
Once the mitochondria in the body are ‘switched on’, the 2 go hand in hand.
Another distinguishing feature is that PS manages to enhance cognitive function even in the presence of stress factors.
And PS signals an immune response when brain cells are dying, so that they can be removed before they become toxic.
The end result of these activities is that PS enhances:
- Long Term Brain Health
- Memory
- Mental Energy
- Focus
- Physical Endurance
- Concentration
- Stress Protection
The ideal dosage for PS is 100 mg three times a day. However, extra PS can be stored in the body for later use.
Taking 2 capsules of Mind Lab Pro would provide 100 mg of PS a day, and using 4 capsules would mean you were using 200 mg a day.
At first, these dosages might seem to fall short.
However, it’s important to note that PS can also be synthesized in the body by using other compounds as a raw material.
PS is commonly found in foods like soy, cabbage, and sunflower lecithin. In other words, we can reasonably assume that most people will get enough PS in their diet for normal bodily function.
Supplementing with PS simply makes it easier for the brain to operate at an optimal level.
In my opinion, the dosages provided in Mind Lab Pro are conservative, but adequate for cognitive enhancement.
Bacopa Monnieri (as an Extract)
Opti-Nutra chose to use a concentrated extract of Bacopa Monnieri (BM for short) in order to maximize the amount of active constituents in Mind Lab Pro.
Which is a smart move if you ask me; it cuts down on the mass of the capsules, and standardizes the ingredients.
The enhancement pathways Bacopa works through are:
- Neuroprotection
- Neuroplasticity
- Blood Flow to the Brain is Increased
Bacopa is best known as an adaptogen, providing protection from free radicals, especially in the presence of stress factors.
BM increases the sensitivity of neurotransmitter receptors at the synapses, which has been shown to result in better working memory and mental flexibility.
It also dilates blood vessels, allowing more nutrients and oxygen to reach the cells that need them. This generally provides more vitality to the body, and the mind.
All told, taking BM offers the following benefits:
- Antioxidant
- Anti-Inflammatory
- Stress Protection
- Mood Enhancement
- Increased Focus/Attention
- Improved Memory
- Better Learning
- Enhanced Multitasking
- Fluid Creativity
- Increased Mental Energy
- Augmented Physical Endurance
The recommended dosage of Bacopa for an extract with 20% bacosides, is in the range of 600-900 mg/day.
Assuming you were taking 2 capsules daily, Mind Lab Pro would provide 150 mg of BM extract, and 4 capsules would yield 300 mg/day.
This is a meager offering in my opinion, especially since Bacopa has so many benefits, and is very safe to use.
I suppose Opti-Nutra had to reduce the size of the capsules somewhere, and this is where they decided to do so.
Lion’s Mane Mushroom (Organically sourced)
The Lion’s Mane Mushroom in Mind Lab Pro is an organically sourced extract. This helps to ensure purity, makes it easy to standardize, and saves on space.
Lion’s Mane is absolutely one of my favorite nootropics, and it really is a key ingredient for promoting long term brain health.
The ‘claim to fame’ for Lion’s Mane is its’ ability to promote:
- Neurogeneration
- Neuroplasticity
- Neuroprotection
It facilitates the production of ‘Nerve Growth Factor’ (NGF) in the brain, which in turn accelerates brain cell reproduction.
Lion’s mane has been particularly useful for recovery from head trauma, and also has tremendous potential to help with neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.
In addition, it stimulates the immune system, relieves anxiety, and acts as an antioxidant.
Basically, when brain cell metabolism is sped up, everything works better. As a result, Lion’s Mane is considered good for:
- Neural Regeneration
- Improved Memory
- Better Learning Ability
- Enhanced Reasoning Skills
- Preventing Inflammation
- Boosting the Immune System
- Alleviating Depression
The recommended dosage is 500-2,000 mg/day. Mind Lab Pro provides 500 mg/day if you take 2 capsules, and 1,000 mg/day if you take 4 capsules.
The amount offered is conservative, but within the correct range, and should provide all the benefits expected.
Maritime Pine Bark Extract
I like to think of maritime pine bark extract as the ‘Maintenance Technician’ for the brain.
In other words, it’s the janitor.
The main mechanisms of action for this nootropic are:
- Neuroprotection
- Blood Flow
- Neurogeneration
Maritime pine bark is very rich in polyphenols, which are extremely potent antioxidants. This is why pine bark extracts are incredibly efficient at flushing out free radicals and other contaminants.
To a lesser extent, they also encourage the release of ‘Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor’ (BDNF), which increases the rate of brain cell growth.
These optimization pathways ultimately lead to the following advantages:
- Antioxidant
- Anti-Inflammatory
- Better Mental Clarity
- Increased Mental Energy
- Augmented Physical Endurance
- Improved Learning, Reasoning, and Decision Making
- Better Long Term Brain Health
The recommended dosages are based on body weight. This is a basic breakdown:
- Minimum Dosage – 1.5 mg per Kg (2.2 lbs) of body weight
- Maximum Dosage – 3 mg per Kg (2.2 lbs) of body weight
Basically a 150 lb person should take 100-200 mg/day, and a 200 lb person should aim for 135-270 mg/day.
Mind Lab Pro has 75 mg of pine bark extract for every 2 capsules, and 150 mg for every 4 capsules. It’s a little bit shy of the ideal dosage, unless you took 3 capsules a day to split the difference.
L-Tyrosine (as NALT)
There are other forms available, but NALT is the tool of choice for Mind Lab Pro because of it’s exceptionally good absorption rate.
NALT stands for N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine, and it’s a compound that can easily cross the blood-brain barrier, allowing it to provide Tyrosine to the brain quickly and efficiently.
The optimization pathways it utilizes are:
- Brain Chemicals
- Neuroplasticity
- Neuroprotection
Tyrosine is an amino acid that can be used to synthesize 3 neurotransmitters; Dopamine, Epinephrine, and Norepinephrine. The catecholamine group of neurotransmitters.
Stress usually causes the catecholamines to break down prematurely, causing memory issues, anxiety, and confusion.
NALT is a great performance enhancer that negates these effects, and gives people great multitasking capacities simply be boosting the amount of catecholamines in the brain.
Creativity and mood are also given a significant lift along with higher levels of these 3 neurotransmitters. Tyrosine can also relieve depression.
To sum it all up, Tyrosine helps:
- Improve Multitasking
- Manage Stress
- Focus & Shift Attention
- Enhance Creativity
- Balance Mood
The recommended dosage for NALT is 150-350 mg/day for best results. If you take 2 capsules of Mind Lab Pro you will receive 175 mg, and 4 capsules will provide you with 350 mg/day.
The dosage here is generous, and falls within the range for best results.
L-Theanine (Suntheanine)
L-Theanine is an amino acid that is naturally present in green tea. Opti-Nutra decided to use ‘Suntheanine’ extract for Mind Lab Pro.
Suntheanine is patented, and it produces the highest quality Theanine possible.
Theanine improves cognitive function by:
- Brain Wave Activity
- Brain Chemicals
- Neuroprotection
Studies have shown that supplementing with Theanine increases Alpha Brain Wave Activity, which is associated with a relaxed states of focus, concentration, and creativity.
Theanine also blocks the activity of the neurotransmitter Glutamate, thereby preventing a state of toxicity that can result in brain cells dying prematurely.
In addition, it improves the effectiveness of the neurotransmitters Dopamine, Serotonin, and GABA. This promotes better learning ability, attention, and mental clarity.
Lastly, people that have tried Theanine by itself almost always notice that they do not get stressed easily, and they enjoy more satisfying sleep.
Taken as a whole, the best known benefits of Theanine are:
- Anxiety Relief
- Enhanced Focus
- Stress Resistance
- Heightened Creativity
- Improved Learning
- Better Sleep
The ideal dosage for L-Theanine is 100-200 mg/day. Mind Lab Pro provides 100 mg of Suntheanine when 2 capsules are taken, and 200 mg/day with 4 capsules.
The L-Theanine dosage for Mind Lab Pro is spot on. It’s exactly where it should be for best results.
Rhodiola Rosea
Mind Lab Pro uses a standardized extract of Rhodiola Rosea, with 3% Rosavins, and 1% Salidrosides.
Rosavins and salidrosides are the active ingredients that give Rhodiola its’ potency, and this 3 to 1 ratio has been found to be the best for maximum effectiveness.
Basically, Rhodiola is an adaptogenic herb, so the neural pathways it uses are:
- Neuroprotection
- Brain Chemicals
- Energy
Technically, Rhodiola doesn’t encourage the production of more neurotransmitters, but it does stop them from being broken down.
It maintains optimal levels of Acetylcholine, Dopamine, Serotonin, and Norepinephrine in the brain, even in the presence of stress factors.
It also stimulates the adrenal system and the immune system.
The stress protection, along with the activation of the adrenal system, work together to provide a very significant boost to energy levels.
At the end of the day, Rhodiola has a pretty impressive resume, and has this list of beneficial effects to offer:
- Antioxidant
- Anti-Inflammatory
- Anti-Cancer
- Stress Protection
- Optimized Cognition
- Antidepressant
- Immunostimulant
- Augmented Physical Endurance
- Elevated Mental Energy
The recommended intake for Rhodiola is 50-600 mg, depending greatly on how each individual reacts to it.
Mind Lab Pro will provide 50 mg of Rhodiola extract with 2 capsules, and 100 mg with 4 capsules.
This dosage is conservative, but within the prescribed guidelines.
Vitamin B6, B9, B12
This very important trio of B Vitamins is provided in Mind Lab Pro using a patented process called ‘NutriGenesis’.
The advantage of using these higher quality vitamins is that they are more effectively absorbed for maximum benefit.
Generally speaking, B6, B9, and B12 are the best B vitamins for increasing mental energy, and they use these major pathways to do so:
- Neuroprotection
- Blood Flow
- Energy
- Brain Chemicals
- Neurogeneration
B6, B9, and B12 have all been the object of intense study with regards to cognitive enhancement.
This is mainly due to the fact that all 3 of them can break down homocysteine, an amino acid that can cause oxidation in blood vessel walls.
While protecting the blood-brain barrier from damage, they also increase cerebral blood flow, which allows the delivery of more oxygen and nutrients to neurons.
B6, B9, and B12 also increase energy level by accelerating the reproduction of mitochondria, and their metabolic activities.
These 3 vitamins are also required for the synthesis of numerous neurotransmitters, re-coding of DNA & RNA, and the formation of new red blood cells.
When B6, B9, and B12 are not present in sufficient amounts, cellular reproduction in the body and the brain starts to slow down.
At the end of the day, research has proven this trio of B vitamins capable of offering the following advantages:
- Antioxidant
- Anti-Inflammatory
- Increased Mental Energy
- Augmented Physical Endurance
- Better Memory
- Enhanced Focus
- Improved Mood
- Greater Mental Flexibility
- Faster Recall
The recommended intake for each of these 3 B vitamins are as follows:
- B6 (Pyridoxine) – 1-2.5 mg/day
- B9 (Folate) – 100-500 mcg/day
- B12 (Cobalmin) – 1-25 mcg/cay for people 18-50 years old/25-100 mcg for people 50+
Mind Lab Pro provides 2.5 mg of B6 with 2 capsules, and 5 mg with 4 capsules. This is a generous dosage, and well within safe limits.
Mind Lab Pro provides 100 mcg of B9 with 2 capsules, and 200 mcg with 4 capsules. This is fine for most adults over 18 years old.
Finally we come to vitamin B12, or Cobalmin.
A lot of people lose their ability to absorb B12 as they age, and by the time they hit 50, they need to take a lot more to maintain optimal health.
Mind Lab Pro will provide 7.5 mcg with 2 capsules, and 15 mcg with 4 capsules. This is a good dosage for most people that might want to take Mind Lab Pro.
Old timers like myself will just have to go out and get a B12 supplement in addition to their nootropic stack for best results! LOL!
So now that we have done our analysis of the benefits and dosages of each individual ingredient in Mind Lab Pro, let’s take a look at how they support one another, shall we?
Mind Lab Pro Formula Analysis – Super Synergy!
The first thing I want to say is that with the exception of Phosphatidylserine (PS), and Bacopa Monnieri being under-dosed, I am very impressed with Mind Lab Pro.
I would love to give it a 5 Star Rating, but in my opinion, it deserves a very solid 4.8 Stars. This is the highest rating I’ve ever given for any nootropic supplement.
I think Opti-Nutra has succeeded in their mission to create a universal nootropic supplement that’s effective, and can be used safely by almost anybody.
No easy feat.
The value provided in Mind Lab Pro is really second to none, but there are some other factors to take into consideration with regards to the formula.
There’s a reason why I wanted to go through the ingredients in the same order as the Mind Lab Pro website.
Integrated Support
CDP choline is mentioned first because it has so many beneficial effects for cognitive enhancement. But when you look at the other ingredients, you also start to realize that they support each other.
A good example is Choline, PS, Bacopa, and Rhodiola.
Choline is a precursor needed to construct the neurotransmitter aceytlcholine.
PS also has choline in it, and can contribute extra choline for acetylcholine synthesis if necessary.
Bacopa and Rhodiola both prevent acetylcholine from breaking down, so when all 4 are taken together, acetylcholine levels in the brain remain high.
Bacopa and Rhodiola also compliment each other very well. Bacopa activates the parasympathetic nervous system, or the ‘Feed & Breed’ mechanism.
It calms us down.
Rhodiola stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for our ‘Fight or Flight’ responses.
It gets us wired, and gives us energy.
When taken together, Bacopa and Rhodiola balance each other out.
Structural Support Ingredients
Then when you look at Choline and PS, they act as structural support nutrients, necessary for new brain cell growth.
But what’s the spark to the flame? Why, when, and how do they get used for brain cell regeneration?
The answer lies with Lion’s Mane Mushroom, Maritime Pine Bark Extract, and the B vitamins.
Lion’s Mane encourages nerve growth factor (NGF), Pine Bark Extract facilitates brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and the B vitamins support myelin regrowth.
If you think of Choline and PS as a plant trying to grow, Lion’s Mane, Pine Bark Extract, and the B vitamins are the Sun, water, and fertilizer needed for it to thrive.
Working together, they elevate the vitality of the human brain to a whole new level.
Neuroprotection Matrix
One final point.
If you take a another look at the ingredient strategy diagram, you’ll notice that every constituent except for B9 (folate) uses Neuroprotection as an optimization pathway.
Tyrosine, for example, has been shown to give users the ability to operate at a very high level, even when suffering from sleep deprivation.
Rhodiola is also known for its’ ability to provide mental focus and physical endurance, even under extreme stress.
I think that’s important.
If someone is under a lot of pressure, and not supported, it’s impossible for them to be at the top of their game.
And I always say, “Offense scores the points, but Defense wins the game”.
In other words if anxiety, nasty co-workers, a crazy boss, difficult kids, or any other hassle in life is messing with you, you’ll never be at your best.
Mind Lab Pro keeps you ‘In the Zone’ for optimal performance.
It gives you the ability to deal more effectively with the stresses of life, so you can focus on being excellent at what you do.
The Worlds’ First Universal Nootropic
I also like the fact that Opti-Nutra used a holistic strategy when they were creating Mind Lab Pro.
Mind Lab Pro provides short term benefits, but also has all the right nutrients in it to support long term brain health at the same time.
All of the ingredients in Mind Lab Pro serve a worthwhile purpose. None of them are ‘One-Trick Ponies’, make you crash, need to be cycled, or have any serious side effects.
Most people can take Mind Lab Pro without any concerns. It’s very safe and effective.
It’s actually the best nootropic supplement I know of for beginners.
Why is Mind Lab Pro Special?
In a nutshell, that’s why I think Mind Lab Pro is the best nootropic supplement on the market.
It does what it’s supposed to do, and it does it exceptionally well.
And it’s not gimmicky.
It simply nourishes your brain and body so that you can perform better.
No fillers.
No stimulants.
Just clean energy, focus, and drive.
Mind Lab Pro – Who is it for?
Mind Lab Pro is for anyone that wants a nootropic supplement that is:
- Clean
- Safe
- Stimulant Free
- Racetam Free
- Effective for All Aspects of Cognition
That being said, Mind Lab Pro may not satisfy everyone.
There are neurohackers out there that want the most bang for their buck, and are trying to find a real life ‘Limitless Pill’.
I’m not sure if what they’re looking for actually exists, but I wish them luck in their search.
They may need to experiment with stimulants, racetams, and a few cocktails of God-knows-what to get the jolt they’re looking for.
But if you are someone looking for a clean, safe, effective supplement that won’t have any crazy side effects, Mind Lab Pro is for you.
==> Click here to try Mind Lab Pro <==
If you use the link above, you’ll see that Mind Lab Pro costs about $75 if you purchase one bottle at a time.
That may sound a bit pricey, but some other high quality nootropic stacks can cost $100 a bottle or more.
If you purchase 4 bottles at once, the shipping is free, and the cost gets knocked down to about $45 a bottle.
This is an outstanding deal, especially considering what you’re getting.
Opti-Nutra also offers a 60 day money back guarantee, and the customer service staff are very good.
Delivery times for online purchases are generally fast, but sometimes they are sold out of product, so I would advise you to order more a few weeks before you are due to run out.
The Best Supplement for Brain Support – Mind Lab Pro
I hope you found this article interesting, and I was able to convince you that Mind Lab Pro is one of the best nootropic supplements ever developed.
It’s definitely the best supplement for brain support I’ve come across.
The ingredients are the highest quality, and they do encourage long term brain health.
Well, that’s about all I had to share with you today.
If you have friends that could benefit from Mind Lab Pro, there are social buttons below that make it easy to share this post.
In my next article, I’ll be doing a review on a company called Awakened Alchemy, and taking a closer look at one of their daytime nootropic stacks; Awaken.
They’re taking a very innovative approach to cognitive enhancement, and I think it’s a good one.
Until next time,
Michael
P.S. – If you do try Mind Lab Pro, please let me know how it goes! Post a comment!
Personal Notes from Michael – Experiences with Mind Lab Pro
There are a few reviews online where the writer claims Mind Lab Pro helps them feel sharper a few hours after taking it.
I’m not going to name any names, but you should expect to feel the effects within about one week.
The bacopa monnieri provides more benefit the longer you take it, so you’ll really start to feel good at around the one month mark.
I just wanted to temper your expectations a little. If you want a supplement that really hits you hard, go buy something that has caffeine in it.
Mind Lab Pro is more natural than a lot of other pre-made nootropic stacks on the market, so you have to be patient with it.
Trust me though, it’s totally worth the wait…
All right, thanks for reading. Any questions, please leave a comment.
Michael
I must say, this is the first time I was captivated by an article on supplements. Supplements are typically not the most entertaining subject but I was enamored by the way you explained it especially when you said that we have to go organic because we are organic. I had to pause there and think. But anyway, I read the ingredients. As far as I’m concerned, they are A-ok. I have researched the field of vitamins and supplements extensively. I’m surprised to see L-Theanine in the list. It’s a calming agent found in green tea but it makes sense to add it to calm the mind. I also checked the price and apparently the best bang for your buck is the 3 month supply. Individually, it’s a little steep but anything of good quality is never cheap. I want to look into this further so I bookmarked it
Sunny
Hey Sonny,
Thank you for your keen interest in nootropics, and your thoughtful commentary on this article!
Just like you, I have a background in biochemistry and nutrition, and you are right about supplements being kind of a dry subject most of the time! LOL!
You are also right about the best value being offered in getting a 3 month supply. The cost per bottle goes from $75 to $56, and the shipping is thrown in for you as well.
Regarding the ingredients, I always need to remind myself that sometimes it’s easier and safer to make certain compounds in a lab rather than extracting them from natural sources. I have to adjust my thinking on the subject.
B Vitamins, for example, can be man-made, and your body will never know the difference. And if they are synthesized in a lab, you don’t have to worry about bacteria, or other contaminants.
That being said, I still like to see natural extracts in the higher quality stacks as much as possible.
Thanks once again for reading Sonny! And please let me know if you have any questions!
Michael
I am new to nootropic supplements, as I imagine many people are, but reading your article (and doing a bit of research) gives me the impression that these supplements would come in handy when dealing with a bit of depression, is that not the case?
Definitely something to look into, as I pay closer attention to your site, and to the references you make. Even though I have no experience with these products, I have a feeling that I just may draw some benefit from their use, although I certainly need to dig deeper in to the subject.
Thanks for putting your article together.
Hugo.-
Hey Hugo,
Thank you for taking a look at nootropicscoach and sharing your thoughts!
You really hit the nail on the head with your question about depression. Depression is often closely associated with stress, because stress can essentially hold your mind hostage. Stress hormones like Cortisol can reduce all of your cognitive functions, and nootropics can definitely help offset those effects.
I think if someone with depression wanted to consider using nootropics in place of traditional antidepressants, a good strategy would be to work with a health care professional, and put together a wholistic treatment plan.
Personally, I would prefer to go that route rather than sticking with prescription drugs. I am somewhat biased towards supplementation; nourishing the body and brain, versus simply medicating ourselves.
Thanks once again for your very astute commentary Hugo!
Please let me know if you have any questions going forward!
Michael
Wow! This is just one of those rare moments when I come by an article exactly when I need it.
If I were to go for any nootropic supplement, I think I’d go for Mind Lab Pro, considering the fact that 11 of its ingredients all have specific works to perform in the enhancement of the brain function. Plus, the fact that its effects only begin to show within a week or two, unlike any normal brain stimulant.
However, I totally agree with you that even with the effectiveness of these supplements, one needs enough sleep and rest to help the brain keep up with reaction and focus, and avoid slow mental activity.
In all, I agree that the supplements listed will work as explained, judging from the ingredients that make them up.
Thanks Michael for this great article. I found it super helpful.
Hey Chris,
Thanks for reading! And I’m so happy you enjoyed the article!
I think starting with Mind Lab Pro would be a good bet for you. I think it’s the best strategy for anyone that is new to nootropics, really.
If you do end up trying Mind Lab Pro, it will give you the opportunity to experience the difference between being your regular self, and ‘Brainy-Chris’. Life just gets a little bit easier with your mind completely clear and awake. It’s kind of hard to explain.
Lifestyle choices will help a lot as well. Getting enough sleep is a big influence, for sure.
Thanks once again for your awesome reply, Chris!
Please feel free to ask any questions you think of later, and I will be happy to answer them for you.
Michael
Hello Michael,
I like the fact that you are suggesting the use of nootropic supplements as an alternative to prescription medications for ADHD, but you are cautious to note that it may only be an option for certain individuals.
That definitely got my attention.
As we have learned more about how we can help ourselves with a better diet and health habits, I have come to the conclusion that having all supplements come from the food is much better for our overall health.
I am glad to hear that Mind Lab Pro has all natural ingredients in it. That’s very good.
Personally, I strive for all the ingredients to come from reputable manufacturing companies. I agree that the methods used to create the supplement are as important as the materials used to create the product.
It sounds to me like Opti-Nutra is a good company to purchase from if I would like to try nootropics for better brain health and cognitive function.
I have paid attention to the supplement world off and on, and generally, I have found them to be a good investment. They have helped me to improve my health and overall quality of life.
So perhaps using nootropics can make my mind sharper as well?
Thanks for your information, and suggestions about help with ADHD.
Sami
Hello Sami,
Thanks so much for reading my article, and sharing your thoughts.
Yes, the line between traditional multi-vitamin supplements and nootropics is starting to blur, and I definitely see that as progress.
I would like to see more people thinking of nootropics as nutrients for the brain, or a specialized form of supplement for mental performance.
People like you are starting to get it, so that’s good.
And if you are considering giving nootropics a try, I honestly think Mind Lab Pro is a great product for beginners.
If you have any friends that you think should read my post, please share it. There are share buttons on my site to make it easy.
Thanks Sami!

Hi Michael,
This post comes to me at a time when I’ve been really worried about how slow I have been thinking and analyzing things. Could be because of my age…
I remember back in high school I tried a supplement when I was writing my final exams, and it had lots of side effects. I had to stop.
I’ve checked with some friends of mine, and they tell me Mind Lab Pro doesn’t have any crazy side effects. It’s a really well respected by a lot of people for it’s effectiveness and safety.
After reading your article, I am feeling like I should try it.
This has been a big eye opener for me.
Thanks for all the valuable information.
Donny
Hey Donny,

Rest assured, you are not alone.
If you are thinking about trying Mind Lab Pro, they have you covered with a 30 day money back guarantee. So it’s really at no risk to you. They stand behind their product.
I also wanted to mention that I wrote an article about nootropics for studying. If you think it might help you, just click on the link I provided here, and it will come up for you.
Just out of curiosity, what supplement did you try back in the day? I’d be interested in knowing if the company is still in business, and what kind of junk they put in your supplement.
Please let me know if you have the time. I’d like to have a look for you.
And if you have any questions going forward, please post another comment. I’ll get right back to you.
Michael

Hey Michael,
Nice informative article about Nootropic supplements.
I haven’t taken this kind of supplement before, but after reading your article, I feel like I need the supplement! LOL!
How safe are nootropics if you take them with other supplements?
Anyways, thank you for the detailed information on Mind Lab Pro’s all natural nootropic formula.
Frozz
Hey Frozz,
Thanks so much for reading my post. Really appreciate it.
Mind Lab Pro is very safe to use, and you could take it with a regular muti-vitamin with virtually no risk of side effects.
I always tell people that natural nootropics are basically nutrients that are specifically meant to improve your brain function.
It’s like taking a multi-vitamin for your brain.
If you have any questions at all going forward, just give me a shout.
I’ll be happy to help you out.
Michael
Hello Michael,
Wow!
I am very impressed with this review!
It sounds like Mind Lab Pro is a very effective product with special ingredients that support your energy, performance, and life.
The question I keep wondering is, does Mind Lab Pro have imitators on the market?
Personally, I feel that this product is very good, and everyone should know about it. Mind Lab Pro has the potential to help individuals as well as society by making people more intelligent.
A great article Michael! Thank you for writing it!
Hello Good Sir!
Thank you so much for reading my review on Mind Lab Pro! Really appreciate your enthusiasm!
In answer to your question, as far as I know, there are no copy cats trying to mimic the Mind Lab Pro formula. There are a few reasons why.
First of all, the nootropics industry is fairly new. I have a lot of readers tell me they have never heard of nootropics before visiting my site.
Secondly, Opti-Nutra, the company that makes Mind Lab Pro, only uses top quality ingredients.
There are a lot of nootropic supplements on the market that use synthetics in their formulas because, you guessed it, they’re cheap to make. They also provide more of a kick when you first take them, which can easily impress someone that is new to nootropics.
Personally, I’m just glad that Opti-Nutra has decided to make a top quality universal nootropic so that everyone can benefit from it.
Like you said, it can be good not just for individuals, but society as a whole if we are all operating at our best.
Thanks once again for sharing your thoughts!
Michael
Hello Michael,
This is an excellent post!
I am an avid fitness buff, and believe it or not, I always encourage my friends to use these kinds of supplements to enhance their athletic performance.
Think about it. Physical activity requires as much brain power as any cognitive task. When we work out or play sports, our body and mind must work together.
This is why I think supplements like Mind Lab Pro are ideal for athletes, bodybuilders, and avid exercisers.
Specifically, active men and women benefit from adaptogens, phospholipids, and nootropic choline sources.
Thank you once again for putting this comprehensive article together. I think I will give Mind Lab Pro a try.
David
Hello David,
Thank you so much for visiting my site, and giving us your unique take on nootropic supplements.
I focus so much on the cognitive advantages of the products I review, that I sometimes forget that athletes need this kind of support just as much as regular folks, if not more.
Your body and mind need more nutrients to perform at an optimal level, and athletes are always pushing their personal boundaries.
Thanks for the reminder, David.
Please let me know how you like Mind Lab Pro. I’d love to hear how it turns out for you.
Michael
Hey Michael,
This is a very informative article on Mind Lab Pro and all of it’s potential benefits. Thank you for taking the time to put it all together. It looks like you did a lot of research.
Does Opti-Nutra have an office in the USA? If I decide to purchase something, do I have to pay additional fees?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ryan
Hey Ryan,
Thanks for reading! Yes, Opti-Nutra does have a presence in the USA, so if you are living in the US, you shouldn’t have to pay any extra fees. If you are in Canada, you will. I’m from Canada myself, so I have to pay extra fees for my goods to cross the Canada-USA border.
I hope that helps!
Michael
Hey Michael,
I’m new to the whole area of nootropics. It sounds like Mind Lab Pro is an old standard that has been around for a while.
How much of a benefit can I expect if I take Mind Lab Pro? Is it kind of like a multi-vitamin, just for my brain health? If you could share your thoughts, I’d really appreciate it.
-Randy
Hey Randy,
Mind Lab Pro is one of the first nootropic supplements ever developed, so yes, you could consider it an ‘old standard’, as you so eloquently put it.
One way to express the benefits of taking Mind Lab Pro would be to say that your mental capacities are boosted by a small amount. Say 10%. You won’t become a genius overnight, but you will remember things more easily, have more focus, and more energy.
It’s also a pretty natural product, so I would favor it over a prescription stimulant.
I hope that helps. Thanks for reading.
Michael
Hey Michael, would you say the effects of Mind Lab Pro can be seen right away, or does it take some time to see results? I’d like to know what to expect.
Thanks
Hey Robert,
Mind Lab Pro provides some benefits immediately, but does do more for you as time goes on. The effects of the herbal constituents, like bacopa monnieri, do become more noticeable over longer periods.
When I started taking Mind Lab Pro, I noticed I had more energy and focus right away, but later on my memory and recall really started to improve. I believe this was due to the Lion’s Mane and PS, but that’s just conjecture on my part.
In any case, that was my experience with it. I hope that helps!
Michael
